A £300 Kinect console bundle will be released in the UK on 10th November, Microsoft has confirmed.
For that, you'll get a 250GB Xbox 360 S (might as well call it Slim) console, Kinect camera and a copy of Kinect Adventures.
North Americans get the bundle six days earlier on 4th November and for $400.
Microsoft will also bundle Kinect with the 4GB Xbox 360 for £249.99.
Kinect, alone, costs £130.

Microsoft reckons companies are in for a "super-challenging" time if they try to imitate controller-free Xbox 360 add-on Kinect.
So complex is the technology inside the Kinect sensor that "it will be hard" for anyone to deliver a similar experience, Xbox executive Kudo Tsunoda told Eurogamer in an interview published today.
"What we've done with the software is something that's really hard to pull off," the lead designer of Kinect said.
"We have a good advantage at Microsoft because we have groups like our Microsoft Research department that not a lot of other companies have, and we're able to solve some super-complicated technical problems in a short period of time.
"They were actually working on something like this before we even started it on Xbox. I think it's going to be super-challenging for anybody else to solve those problems."
Kinect, due out on 10th November for £130, allows gamers to interact with their Xbox 360s without a controller.
It also has voice recognition software built in, allowing gamers to order their consoles about with voice commands.
Microsoft has high hopes for the device, and has predicted it'll extend the life of the 360 by five years.
Tsunoda reckons if other companies manage to come up with a rival controller free technology in that time, it will be too little, too late.
"People have been trying for a long time and we're the first company that's been able to deliver this.
"If people are able to figure it out, by the time they've figured it out we're going to be off into adding more new things to the platform. But I just think that's such a hard technology challenge that it will be hard for anyone to deliver on what Kinect is."
One man who may take issue with Tsunoda's comments is Softkinetic CEO and founder Michel Tombroff.
He's developed a Kinect rival, called iisu, which works similarly to Microsoft's sensor and is being used by EA in the Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf series.
In fact, Tombroff reckons iisu works better than Kinect, and suggested to Eurogamer last month that his tech has solved problems associated with lag, player detection and occlusion that have dogged Microsoft's tech in the run up to its release.

Microsoft has apologised to the residents of Fort Gay, US for banning a local citizen from Xbox Live.
The platform holder deemed the given location by Josh Moore as offensive - and that it broke the terms of service. Because it had the word 'Gay' in it.
The name of the town is genuine - it sits in West Virginia, US - but the firm banned the unfortunate resident from Live nonetheless.
And when Moore subsequently contacted Xbox to inform it he had a valid reason to use 'Gay' in his profile, the firm was having none of it.
MS suspended his gaming privileges until Moore could convince them the location in his profile, "fort gay WV," wasn't a joke or a slur.
In fact, Fort Gay houses around 800 residents in Wayne County, along West Virginia's western border with Kentucky.
"At first I thought, 'Wow, somebody's thinking I live in the gayest town in West Virginia or something.' I was mad. ... It makes me feel like they hate gay people," Moore told AP.
"I'm not even gay, and it makes me feel like they were discriminating."
Despite pleading with customer services, Moore was warned by MS that if he put 'Fort Gay' back in his profile, Xbox Live would cancel his account and keep his $12 monthly membership fee - which he'd paid in advance for two years.
Stephen Toulouse, director of policy and enforcement for Xbox Live has now admitted that was a miscommunication.
"Someone took the phrase 'fort gay WV' and believed that the individual who had that was trying to offend, or trying to use it in a pejorative manner," Toulouse said.
"Unfortunately, one of my people agreed with that. ... When it was brought to my attention, we did revoke the suspension."
He added: "In this very, very specific case, a mistake was made," he said, "and we're going to make it right."

Microsoft and Sony reckon their motion control devices Kinect and Move will revolutionise the game industry, but one big hitter remains unconvinced of their relevance to that most hardcore of genres: the role-playing game.
Fitting Kinect, which enables controller free gaming, and Move, which uses a controller camera combo, into traditional RPG design is "awkward", Final Fantasy head honcho Yoshinori Kitase, who's doing the rounds promoting PSP-exclusive title The 3rd Birthday, told Eurogamer.
"Obviously this [The 3rd Birthday] is a PSP title, so we couldn't have made use of these new techniques anyway," he said.
"But it is quite awkward, particularly for example in Final Fantasy XIII, which came out last March in Europe. That kind of interface is quite difficult to be included in the RPG.
"But this is a gun shooter, and we would love to expand the franchise. In the future I think those technologies could be quite handy for us."
Using motion control add-ons during the long gameplay sessions typically experienced when playing RPGs wouldn't be appropriate, Kitase explained.
"The main difference between shooting games and RPGs – obviously there are some – but shooting games probably amount to up to 10 to 15 hours of gameplay.
"But an RPG, you have to improve your character fight and fight and fight, and then the ending, and then more to play with, that could be 40 to 50 hours.
"It's quite continuous play, even though you don't have one go, obviously.
"That kind of technique might not fit so well with a very continuous title that requires long gameplay."
Still, Kinect and Move may end up playing some part in future games in the likes of the Final Fantasy series, Kitase pondered.
"We could have a chance to introduce those techniques in a mini-game in those games, if you like, to give them additional spice."
Move's due out on 17th September. Kinect's due out on 10th November. Not long now.

Oh, sure -- we've seen an Xbox 360 enclosure stuffed with x86 innards, but we can't say we've ever seen anything quite like this. Gaming upstart Origin PC has just shattered every preconceived notion about its potential with the Big O, an appropriately titled luxury machine that combines a liquid-cooled gaming PC with a liquid-cooled Xbox 360 Slim. In one box. A pair of base configurations are available (though customizations are limitless), with both of 'em rigged up to run the PC and Xbox concurrently. In other words, these bad boys can actually crunch SETI@home data while you explore the vastness of Halo: Reach. The $7,669 build includes an overclocked 4.0GHz Core i7-930 CPU, Rampage III Extreme mobo, twin NVIDIA GTX480 graphics cards, 6GB of Corsair memory, a 1,500 watt power support, 12x Pioneer Blu-ray burner, two 50GB OCZ SSDs wired up as a boot drive, Windows 7 Home Premium, a liquid-cooled Xbox 360 and bragging rights the size of Texas Alaska. For those still unsatisfied, there's a $16,999 version that's frankly too lust-worthy to spell out here

Competitors hoping to release alternatives to Kinect will find it very difficult to replicate the advances found in the software powering the device, Microsoft has stated.

Microsoft would be "welcome" to adopt Blu-ray for Xbox in future - despite its vocal refusal to accept the long-term validity of the format.
That's according to the Blu-ray Disc Association (BDA) - which comprises key execs from Sony, Samsung, Disney and Warner Bros, amongst others.
Speaking exclusively to CVG, the trade body dismissed Microsoft's claims that the de facto gaming storage format to follow DVD will be online downloads and/or streaming.
European BDA chairman Graham Heaton said: "The amount of data required for a blockbuster game is getting bigger and bigger by the day.
"Already games such as Metal Gear Solid 4 and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves are pushing the limits of the Blu-ray 50GB discs. The infrastructure for broadband throughout the world varies greatly and is a long way from being able to support the downloading and streaming of 50GB games in a consumer friendly format.
"It will be a very long time before this changes, so Blu-ray is in a ideal position to ensure that the best games are available to all gamers."
Microsoft has told CVG that it isn't interested in adopting Blu-ray for Xbox as it instead considers digital media the long-term 'future of home entertainment'.
Despite the trash talking, however, the Blu-ray Association said it would have no qualms accepting Microsoft into its ranks - in a kind of 'discreet service available' way.
"Any company willing to join [and adopt Blu-ray] would be welcome," added Heaton.
When asked if the BDA believed that Xbox would eventually have to adopt Blu-ray, he replied:
"That is up to Microsoft to decide."
Developers such as Capcom and Mercury Steam have discussed the "problem" of creating games on multiple DVD discs for Xbox 360.

Ever wonder why Sony and Microsoft don't have the 'traditional' D-pads on their consoles? Microsoft has (had) the infamous disc and Sony has just the four buttons arranged like a D-Pad. Nintendo actually has the traditional cross-shaped D-Pad patented. (See US Patent 4,687,200). That's why Nintendo products use it and others don't.
So, everybody hates the "disc" D-Pad that the Xbox 360 controller uses. And video game hardware is such a low-margin segment of the industry to begin with, so licensing the patent from Nintendo is out of the question. So they come up with this brilliant rotating disc thing that lets you use a "traditional" D-Pad without infringing on the Nintendo patent. Major Nelson confirmed in his online YouTube video that Microsoft has this "hybrid" D-Pad patented, so don't expect others to use it.

In a recent interview with CVG Microsoft's Kinect maestro, Kudo Tsunoda, put on his philosophers hat and addressed the Core vs Casual gamer dichotomy.
When asked how he would respond to comments from core gamers regarding the lack of 'hardcore' games for Kinect, Tsunoda took the opportunity to wax philosophical on the definition of 'core gamer'.
Although he didn't address whether gamers will ever get to play Gears or Halo with Kinect, he did get Sonic into his well-reasoned argument, saying that gamers are being "pigeonholed" as people who just want to kill things.
"To me, It's funny because everyone always has a different definition of 'core gamer'. I think somehow core gamers all-of-a-sudden got almost pigeonholed as people who only want to kill people," he said.
Tsunoda pointed out an interesting change in how a game is perceived and identified as 'core' or 'casual' today, illustrating his point with Sonic:
"If you think about a game like Sonic the Hedgehog, in the old days, would you say Sonic was a core game or a casual game? It's a mix between both. There isn't some complicated set of controls to learn but it has all the gameplay skill and depth."
"If we'd never heard of Sonic the Hedgehog and we were talking about Kinect and I'm like 'we've got this awesome game, you're this little blue hedgehog and you're running around collecting golden rings' you'd be like 'that's not a core game, where are the games for the core?', and yet Sonic was a core game," he argued.

Originally the fevered dream of Microsoft executives circa CES 2007, the Xbox 360 IPTV box is rapidly becoming a reality, first sneaking into Canadian carrier Telus' Optik TV outlay and now reportedly in development at AT&T. Now, we wouldn't have blamed you for doubting Microsoft when it briefly mentioned U-Verse subscribers would get Mediaroom functionality in their game console later this year, but it's looking more likely now: a tipster just forwarded some legit-looking screenshots of Xbox prompts in AT&T U-Verse's technical support database. Our source claims the Xbox is presently being tested internally with friends and family of AT&T employees, and that it's likely only a couple of months away at this point. Not discussed: whether or not Xbox 360 will provide closed captioning for the "TV impaired."

Microsoft and United hooked up back in June for a hardware-less Zune partnership, which seems to have turned out pretty sweetly for both parties. Dave McLauchlan, chief Zune HD evangelist, has dished the news that the two companies are stepping up their relationship with a set of 500 Zunes being provided for long-haul flights to Hong Kong and Australia. Before you cry foul and say you never get on a flying tin can without your own media, Microsoft's angle here will be to preload those OLED-sporting babies with exclusive content, including flicks that haven't yet made it to a DVD release. Dave himself has been running around movie studios and closing deals, while the Zune HDs in question have now been encased in rubber, had their screens protected, and batteries charged.

As beta testing programs go, Microsoft's Kinect venture has been kind of... leaky. No surprises, therefore, that we've now received our first in-the-plastic pictures of the motion-tracking camera peripheral, replete with a few select shots of its packaging. Redmond's promise that hardware was en route to testers was clearly not a hollow one, and we can now probably expect a bunch more unauthorized disclosures about the user experience with what should be final retail units. The outside of the packaging includes a couple of teasers encouraging users to pick up some of those bodacious PDP stands and wall mounts for their Kinect -- presumably the start of a tidal wave of Kinect accessories.

Kinect Sports developer Rare has played down worries about the size of room required by upcomin Xbox 360 motion controller Kinect.
In July online shop Amazon revealed Kinect requires six feet of space between the player and their television, fueling much debate as to its effectiveness in small rooms.
However, Rare's senior software engineer Nick Burton said the issue has been blown out of proportion.
"With all of these things you look at them and you go, 'No!'," Burton told sister site Eurogamer.net.
"The camera configures itself, basically, when you set it up. Now, obviously, if you've only got that much space [makes a small space between his hands] between your TV there's just not enough space for you to physically fit in the frame of the camera so you need to stand back a little bit.
"But it's not like, 'Hey, look at me over here,' and you're in a massive living room. We live in England."
Kinect launches in the UK on 10th November.

Missing your oldie Xbox 360's bright and airy white finish? Well, Microsoft's still not willing to sell you a slimmified 360 in any color other than black (excepting the limited edition Halo gear), but at least you can gaze upon the singular example of what a white one may look like above. This seemingly repainted Xbox 360 250GB (to give it its official, and ridiculous, name) has been lovingly put together over in China and really makes us wonder why Microsoft is depriving us of such snowy good looks. Perhaps it wanted to draw a clear between the old and the new? Either way, hit the source for the cheapest way to peek an all-white slim 360 without giving the Colorware crew a call.

Earlier this week Microsoft announced that it is to increase the price of some Xbox Live subscription packages – but Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter thinks the platform holder is preparing to take things much further.
“The extra $10 translates to around $100-150 million per year in additional revenue for Microsoft,” Pachter told Industry Gamers.
“I think that they will reinvest at least this much in developing other new applications, and will roll out a premium service with $100-200 million worth of enhancements. If they can get 2m users to switch from the $60 plan to the $100 plan, they'll make an extra $80m a year, and can keep investing to try to grow that business.”
But what additions could Microsoft offer to temp punters into nearly doubling their annual subscription costs?
“The Xbox 360 can work as a media center, and conceivably could do things like managing a music library,” he speculated. “Although Apple and Microsoft aren't the best of friends, I could see Apple letting Xbox Live members manage their iTunes accounts through their 360s, and other such premium services.
“I'm not the guy to speculate as to what they will offer, but I'm sure that there are many talented and creative people at Microsoft working on such a plan right now. For all I know, the Platinum plan might include virtual goods credits for various Microsoft games. If members could get specialized Halo armor or weapons worth the extra $40, they might be more willing to sign up, and it doesn't really cost Microsoft anything to offer things like that.”

The Zune HD continues to rank among our all-time favorites in terms of industrial design, so it's good to hear that Microsoft isn't entirely abandoning the PMP sector for its new Windows Phone 7 hotness. Mary Jo Foley of ZDNet has consulted her tea leaves (and in-the-know tipsters) and emerged with the strong feeling that some new Zune hardware is brewing up in Redmond. Little specificity is available, beyond the obvious postulation that a new ZHD would probably be driven by an ARM CPU and take some software pointers from WP7, but we're told to look toward to the early 2011 horizon and see if we can't spot any sexy new media players emerging. A mirage is as likely as the real deal right now, but it's always fun to look to that horizon, no?

Microsoft has told Eurogamer Spain that Kinect voice recognition will be disabled for mainland Europe until spring 2011.
The company confirmed rumours that the voice-recognition software will only accept American English, British English, Japanese and Mexican Spanish at launch this November. Even Canadians will have to wait until spring 2011 to be able to control the system via voice.
Frustratingly, even those fluent in English - or Spanish speakers that can imitate Mexican Spanish - won't be allowed to activate Kinect voice recognition due to the region-locked status of their Xbox 360.
Microsoft went on to explain that the decision to support Mexican Spanish and not native Spanish was a case of numbers: there are 106 million Spanish speakers in the US and 13 million Mexicans with consoles. And that compares favourably to the 45 million people in Spain.

Update: Microsoft has refused to clarify the matter.
"Voice control is an exciting part of the Kinect for Xbox 360 controller-free experience and we can confirm that it will be available at launch in November 2010," a spokesperson told Eurogamer this morning. "We do not have additional details to share about local voice availability at this time."
Original story: Reports have surfaced that state Kinect will only recognise three languages at launch: English, Japanese and Mexican Spanish.
Word spilled from the ongoing Kinect beta test.
Website Elpias discovered that only Mexican Spanish - which is different to European Spanish - was supported. Xboxygen, meanwhile, produced an image that touted Japanese and Mexican Spanish support, as well as recognition for British, Canadian and American English.
Microsoft has yet to confirm or deny any of this.
Kinect launches in Europe on 10th November.
