Microsoft will finally reveal the Star Wars Kinect game everyone's been waiting for since its reveal last year.
Star Wars for Kinect was at the top of our list of most anticipated Kinect games, more because of the principle of it than the slightly dodgy-looking 'gameplay' video Microsoft released last year, but the game's been in hiding ever since.
According to Spike TV's Geoff Keighley, however, Microsoft plans to show it off at its E3 press conference on June 6. Posting on Twitter (spotted by Game Informer), he said: "Yes, Star Wars for Kinect will officially be unveiled live during the Xbox 360 E3 briefing on Spike. Tune in on June 6 for more."
The game was rumoured for a Christmas 2011 release, which might finally give hardcore gamers the Kinect game they've been waiting for. All eyes on next week.

The games on show at E3 2011 are some of the best in living memory. So you really owe it to yourself to vote in CVG's inaugural E3 2011 Awards... in the Most Anticipated Title category.
Shortly before the show, we'll work out which of these 60 special E3 game previews have enjoyed the most page views, Facebook 'Likes', ReTweets and poll votes (see below) and crown our first victor at the Los Angeles event. Show your favourites the love!
Game: Halo 4 / Halo HD
Publisher: Microsoft
Likelihood of E3 2011 showing: Possible / Likely
We recently chatted to 343 Industries' Frank O'Connor and, while the Halo impresario didn't shed much light on what The Next Halo would be, he also did little much to quell rumours that an HD reboot of Combat Evolved was on its way.
At the time of writing those rumours have solidified a little more, with the unconfirmed news that New Jersey devils Saber Interactive (the bunch behind 2007's oh-so-average Timeshift and Namco's forthcoming Inversion) might be the team heading up a glossy HD reimagining of Microsoft's flagship shooter - which conveniently celebrates its ten-year anniversary on 15 November.
No surprises for guessing the projected release date of Halo HD, then! The bizarre choice of developer makes this a hard one to swallow wholesale - but then, with 343 whispered to be hard at work on Halo 4, it makes sense they'd ship it off to someone else.
Further intel: the Reach engine will not be used, this isn't just a HD makeover, and new flavour CE will pack a bunch of redesigned art assets, plus remapped control schemes and - ooh! - full 3D.
Re-evolution, it seems, is imminent. So, what about Halo 4? We're convinced it will release late in 2012 - but security surrounding the project is unprecedented and a bullish O'Connor's in no mood to spill the beans... though this summer's E3 may be another story.
One thing's for sure, 343 Studios are hiring like crazy - and that raft of Lead Software Development Engineers, Technical Artists and Multiplayer Designers joining the ranks aren't there to help out in the canteen. Start get ting excited, people.

It is a source of Eurogamer that Microsoft could announce at the conference from E3 2011, the establishment of the compatibility of the stereoscopic 3D on the Xbox 360 as its competitor, the PS3.
Currently, the console can emulate the 3D but this time she would be able to treat it in 1280 * 1470, which will offer 720p on each eye.
Last year, Microsoft had announced that he would look at the evolution of the market to really start. In fact, the Redmond company not selling 3D broadcaster, he had not obligated to impose this technology in homes.
The Xbox 360 will be pushed to its limits!

News via http://www.zuneboards.com/forums/dow...r-zune-hd.html
zuNESter is a port of PocketNester 0.7a. It is highly optimized and should be able to run any NES ROM at a full 60 frames per second. It supports 9 save states per ROM. Unfortunately, the sound currently does not work at all. Hopefully that will change in the future. The controls are obvious from the overlay, except that to access the menu while playing a game in portrait mode, you have to touch where the game is displaying (upper part of the screen).
Also, be sure to add your own NES ROMs to the ROMs folder before deploying.
Note: Nothing has yet changed since the latest release candidate. The source code will be added soon.
Update:
-Landscape mode (Thanks to Nick for the theme.)
-ROMs are now searched for in /flash2/zuNESter/ROMs as well. (Put them there with Liberate or the zuNESter File Deployer.)
-Moved saves to /flash2/zuNESter/Saves and now saves according to the entire file name.
-Invisible quick load button in top-left corner and invisible quick save button in top-right corner.

Modern Warfare 3's Spec Ops co-op mode is getting special attention for the upcoming sequel, co-developers Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer have announced.
As well as a new progressive ranking system, online matchmaking system and leaderboards, there's also a new Survival Mode which plays out on the game's multiplayer maps, rather than on the single player stages as in MW2.
"All that stuff really fleshes out Spec Ops and adds in a lot that we know our fans are going to love, some of the most addictive aspects of Multiplayer," Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling told USA Today.
It sounds like a standard survival mode, with you having to fend off unlimited waves of enemies. On the "Dome" map described, they graduate from attack dogs, to suicide bomber dogs, to kamikaze soldiers, to juggernauts as the round progresses.
The developers hope the refinements will make Spec Ops the perfect way for hesitant users to graduate from single player to the game's full multiplayer modes.
"There's such hard-core players out there in the online community and you hear all the stories about the eight-year-olds, 12-year-olds and 13-year-olds swearing and ruining the experience," said Sledgehammer's Michael Condrey.
"With Spec Ops, you can really get in there and hone your skills in a more confined environment. I think it's a little more of an easy entry. I don't have as much time as I did when I was 20 to be honing my twitch skills, but this certainly gives me a venue to experiment."
Announced earlier this month, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is due for release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 8th November. There's no word on Wii, DS, 3DS, PSP or NGP versions yet.

Hulk Hogan is creating his own wrestling game for Kinect.
Developed by US studio Panic Button, Hulk Hogan's Main Event is billed as "the first performance-based wrestling game on Kinect for Xbox 360 that lets players train with mentor Hulk Hogan".
One would hope so.
Due for release this autumn via Majesco, players will be challenged to "build their own wrestling personalities and learn the art of showmanship to win over the crowd".
Don't worry, there's a Hulk quote coming.
Before then, details: "In Hulk Hogan's Main Event, players will learn the ropes from the man himself as Hulk Hogan schools them on delivering the best show for the crowd by emulating famous Hulk poses and performing more than 30 punishing combos. The Kinect sensor tracks players' every move; the more dynamic the motion, the more high impact the wrestler's performance is.
"Players will create their own unique wrestler personality through a robust create-a-wrestler feature including many choices for face, hair, tattoos, outfit, ethnicity, body type, and entrance music. Perform in nine different venues including the backyard brawl, local gym and giant stadium in front of a massive audience. Enter tournament mode for two player tag-team and take turns delivering extreme moves. Best of all, players can wield a variety of damaging objects including metal chairs and ladders to deliver bone-jarring hits to their opponents."
"Listen up, people! You will feel the power of Hulkamania when you step into this game," said actual Hulk Hogan.
"Whether you are taking the damage or selling the pain, this game will let you unleash your inner wrestler as you hype up the crowd while putting the hurt on anyone that stands in your way!"
Hulk will be at E3. So will we. We're pushing for an interview to deliver you some words o' wonder.

News via http://www.zunethoughts.com/news/sho...p-a-notch.html
"It appears the leaks were true. Zune on Windows Phone Mango has received a nice update. Using the Mango emulator provided with the Windows Phone Developer Tools, we were able to access certain hidden features like Bing Vision, Bing Audio, Local Scout, and more."
In addition to some beautiful cosmetic changes, it appears that we'll also be seeing some key functionality improvements to bring it on par with the Zune HD device. My favorite improvement would be the visibility of the music playing controls on the lock screen. Sure, it's not that hard to press "power" and then "volume" to get to the controls right now, but this is a slight bit of streamlining that I surely will appreciate. The ability to have the artist's imagery on the lock screen when their music is playing is also a pretty nifty feature.Click the link to find out more about some other functionality and podcast support.

We're not quite sure why Microsoft didn't make mention of it during its big event yesterday, but the company has now confirmed that its forthcoming "Mango" update will also bring with it another significant addition to the Windows Phone scene: a web-based Marketplace. That will of course let you browse and buy apps right from your favorite web browser, and then have them installed on your phone over-the-air ("via SMS or email," apparently). You'll also be able to take advantage of various social networking tie-ins to share apps with your friends, and the Marketplace will hang onto your download history so you can easily reinstall all of your apps if you switch phones -- and, yes, you can count on plenty of Bing integration as well.
Update: Microsoft got in touch with us to clear up some of the confusion about how apps are actually delivered to the phone. It says it expects the vast majority of customers to install apps OTA in a single step using its regular notification system. SMS would only be used in instances where that service is not already turned on, and in that case there would still be "no links or added engagement on the phone." Customers can also choose to send themselves an email with a link to the app but, again, it expects most folks to simply let apps install in the background.

Retro-fabulous PSP turbo-JRPG Half-Minute Hero is coming to Xbox Live Arcade next month, developer Marvelous Entertainment has confirmed.
Due out on 29th June, Half-Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax will set you back 800 Points.
The excellent PSP original, which launched last in February last year, tasked you with saving the world in just 30 seconds via various mini-quests. Check out the trailer which follows the story for a better idea of how the bonkers concept works in practice.
According to the XBLA game's just-launched website, there are "60 entire RPGs" to be completed in the new version and what appears to be a standalone online versus mode called Super Hero Wars.

Bungie has banned "several dozen" Halo: Reach players who "habitually" idle or exhibit "AFK behaviour" (go away from their console) while playing Firefight Matchmaking.
Those in the firing line are invited to contest the credit reset. But doing so needlessly could land you a credit ban.
"So far we have issued extended credit bans for several dozen accounts," wrote Bungie "Fungineer" Jeremiah on the game's forum. "We are continuing to look for false positives but so far no one has been reset and banned without sufficient cause.
"It's clear that even players who know they're deserving of this ban are going to request an investigation, which could end up delaying the investigation of a player who is honestly unaware of why they were reset and banned."
"I ask that you please remain patient while we continue to review disputes and we will notify players individually if we require any additional information from them."
Firefight is a wave-based multiplayer mode for Halo: Reach, in which players fend off increasingly tricksy hordes of Covenant baddies. The video below shows Eurogamer attempting this alone, without any real trace of skill.

Square Enix has nailed down the European release dates for Dungeon Siege 3's demo on PC, Xbox and PS3.
If you want to play the June 17-released game before it's out you'll need to have a good PC. That version (via Steam) will arrive on June 7. But PS3 and Xbox versions won't pop up on Xbox Live and PSN until two weeks later on June 22. There's no word on exactly what the demo will contain.
On the game's plot, Square says: "In Dungeon Siege III, players assume the role of one of four heroes, fighting for the sake of their fallen comrades to restore the land of Ehb. Conflict is constant in this action-RPG and decisions have lasting consequences, allowing players to alter the storyline.
"Choose to battle along with a companion or fight for honour with up to three friends via online co-op play. DUNGEON SIEGE III allows for two players to experience the story from start to finish in local co-op mode. Thanks to the robust AI, DUNGEON SIEGE III's co-op multiplayer mode allows players to seamlessly drop in and out of battle without interrupting the action or impacting the campaign."
The game was originally set for release tomorrow until Square Enix delayed it in Europe to June 17. The game will be available for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 in standard and limited editions, with the latter featuring four unique in-game items available to activate on launch day.

Punchy arcade brawler Supremacy MMA has landed a UK launch date of 23rd September.
Four pre-order DLC packages will be available from different retailers containing new fighters and locations - including a strip club just for women.
Kung Fu Factory's Supremacy MMA has made much of the fact it features female fighters as well as men. HMV headlines the pre-order DLC options with strip club fight scene The Glass Slipper.
"Get down and dirty and put a show on for the ladies in the raciest locale an MMA game has ever seen. No gentlemen allowed," states the press release.
Play.com customers can play in the Slaughter House - it's a ring featuring meat grinders. Game gets Shane Del Rosario, an undefeated Muay Thai fighter, while Amazon orders come with Bao Quach, a Vietnamese-American featherweight.
Developer Kung Fu Factory aims to launch Supremacy MMA in a quiet patch on the fighting release schedule, avoiding a head-to-head clash with any direct competitor.
"There's a huge opening in the market with no retail fighting games, and specifically no MMA games, hitting this fall," Supremacy MMA's creative director Ricci Rukavina said.
Last year UFC Undisputed 2010 launched in May, while seasoned series WWE SmackDown vs. Raw and underdog EA Sports MMA clashed in the autumn - leading to the latter being declared "dead on arrival".
