Capcom has confirmed plans to release the Dead Rising Collection for Xbox 360 in Europe next month.
The bundle offering will hit EU and UK stores on March 7 and includes Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2, along with spin-off titles Off the Record, Case West and Case Zero. The Capcom Unity announcement makes no mention of pricing or a US release date.
The Amazon UK listing which had prematurely revealed the collection's arrival earlier this month still has the title priced at £24.99, although it's also still showing a release date of January 24, which is now confirmed to be inaccurate.
CVG's Dead Rising 2 review concluded: "Anybody after a polished adventure with faultless mechanics is likely to find the antiquated controls and systems too much of a stumbling block to hurdle.
"Approach Dead Rising 2 to have fun and to mess about with the costumes, weapons and vehicles and it'll gift you weeks of content arguably more entertaining than anything else on the 360, the first Dead Rising included."
Dead Rising 3 was released exclusively on Xbox One in November 2013. Just before Christmas, Capcom delayed the release of the first Dead Rising 3 DLC pack from December to January 21.
Capcom confirmed on Wednesday that more than one million copies of Dead Rising 3 were shipped worldwide in the game's first month of release.

The BBC and Microsoft have remained tight-lipped on the progress of an iPlayer app for Xbox One, despite a recent report that suggested its ongoing absence was due to problems integrating Kinect support.
An iPlayer app for Xbox One was confirmed before the console's launch last November but is still to materialise. The BBC did, however, provide an iPlayer app for PlayStation 4 upon that console's launch, despite it arriving later.A report which surfaced online last weeksuggested that the BBC was having problems working with Xbox One's Kinect sensor, support for which is believed to be a required component for any Xbox One app.The source, a programmer on the project, claimed that the Xbox One iPlayer app will now not be available "until the second quarter of 2014 at the earliest".Microsoft declined to comment on the report when contacted by Eurogamer."iPlayer is already available to audiences on over 1000 devices and platforms in the UK," a BBC spokesperson said. "Whilst we are working to bring BBC iPlayer to Xbox One in the future, we have no further details to share at this time."Xbox 360 users also had to wait for an iPlayer app - although that was due to Microsoft's insistence that entertainment apps need to operate behind the Xbox Live Gold paywall (something blocked by the BBC license fee).

A comprehensive anthology of current-gen (or is that last-gen?) Dead Rising games is due out on Xbox 360 on 7th March in Europe, Capcom has announced.Simply titled The Dead Rising Collection, the pack contains the original Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2, along with additional content like the DR2 prologue Case Zero and DLC add-ons Off the Record and Case West.We had mostly kind things to say about Capcom's open-world Dawn of the Dead-inspired series, with Dead Risings 1, 2, and Case West scoring classic Eurogamer 8/10s. Case Zero was also well-received, though EG-contributor Chris Schilling was underwhelmed with Off the Record, which he stated in his review "arguably adds less than either of these Xbox 360-exclusive episodes [Case Zero and Case West], yet costs more."

Xbox One supports a controller, Internet Explorer and HTML5 games, but not all HTML5 games support a controller – and that's where XBOXIE comes in. Run by Reddit user CitadelSaint, XBOXIE lists HTML5 games you can play with a controller in IE on the Xbox One. So far the list includes Pac-Man, Bejeweled, Super Breakout, Pong, Contre Jour, Sketch Out and Solitaire, among others.
"Even though the Xbox One can play HTML5 games, it doesn't mean developers are supporting the controller," XBOXIE's About page reads. "Most game are aimed at keyboard and mouse. So we at XBOXIE search and test each game to make sure it runs smooth and plays well on a controller. So to sum up, if it's on XBOXIE then you can play it on your Xbox One."
That's right: Pong has entered the next generation. Take that, Tetris.

Add the Exor Studios-developed Zombie Driver HD to the growing list ofdelisted downloadable titles. According to the developer, the XBLA and PSN Japan versions of Zombie Driver will soon be taken down due to the bankruptcy of its publisher Cyberfront Corporation.
"We are currently working on getting the game re-published on XBLA however we can not confirm at this time when or if this will happen. EXOR Studios owns the IP, but we can not publish the game ourselves due to Microsoft's policies," Exor COO Pawel Lekki tells Joystiq.
Though the vehicular combat game will also be pulled from the PlayStation Network in Japan due to its publisher's closure, Lekki says the company is already solving the issue with Sony, assuring the game will be back online "at a later time."
Perhaps ensuring a similar situation will be avoided in the future, Microsoft's Xbox One console allows for self-publishing in its digital storefront. Currently, Microsoft's policy on Xbox 360 only allows for titles to be submitted to its Xbox Live Arcade marketplace under the banner of an approved publisher.
Zombie Driver versions on Steam, PSN in the Americas and Europe, Windows Store and on Ouya are not affected by the game's publisher woes.

Happy Wars developer Toylogic issued the eleventh update for the game today, allowing all Xbox 360 owners to play it regardless of their Xbox Live subscription level. As the platform's first free-to-play game, it was previously locked to those with a Gold level subscription. Instead, unpaid Xbox Live users can play every facet of the game save for multiplayer, missions and the treasure map sections, which remain locked to Gold subscribers.
The update also adds a new game mode called Bounty Hunters, in which players earn bounties by defeating enemies, Big Towers and conquering other towers, adding to their team's total. The mode is available today until January 29. The title update also fixed issues that prevented progress in the Castle Defense mode, adjusted the item leveling system and changed the game's training mode into "Skirmish Mode." Happy Wars first launched in October 2012 and exceeded six million downloads one year later.

Dead Rising 3 shipped one million by the end of 2013, and looks on course to chainsaw through Capcom's initial targets. According to figures revealed by the publisher, the Xbox One launch game took total shipments for the zombicial series past the 7 million mark.
As Capcom announced today, Dead Rising 3 smashed the million mark on December 20, 2013, around a month after the Xbox One launched. While shipments don't necessarily translate into sales to consumers, Capcom will be encouraged given the target it set of 1.2 million shipped by the end of March 2014.
Like a well lopped zombie cranium, the news drops neatly alongside the arrival of the game's first DLC, the single-player prequel Operation Broken Eagle.According to Xbox's Larry Hyrb you can grab the DLC now, either for $10 on its own or as part of the $30 season pass that also covers the next three major add-ons.

The deals are live when viewing each individual title on Xbox Live, though the Xbox Live Deal of the Week section is still showing last week's discounts – which highlight Darksiders for under $7, Darksiders 2 for under $20 and Painkiller: Hell and Damnation for $15.

Gadget design is rarely a simple process, and we now know that the Xbox One is no exception to the rule. Microsoft designer Carl Ledbetter has revealed that the game console went through many 3D-printed incarnations before the company settled on a final product; there were 75 system prototypes, 100 for the Kinect and 200 for the gamepad. The development team spent a long time finding a balance between familiar Xbox design cues and the desire for an always-on media hub, Ledbetter says. Whether or not you think Microsoft achieved its goal, it's clear that the Xbox One's current look was never guaranteed.

A recent marketing promotion between Microsoft and Machinima has sparked a discussion about the ethics of how YouTubers make a living. Ars Technica has a piece detailing a recent promotion where Microsoft (through Machinima) could pay YouTubers up to $3,750 for a video featuring Xbox One content, with the proviso that the YouTuber could not say "anything negative or disparaging about Machinima, Xbox One or any of its Games in your Campaign Video."
Reaction to the story has been mixed. Product placement is nothing new and some dismiss it as standard marketing practice, while others are raising questions about ethical concerns. Do or should YouTubers have to acknowledge when they are being paid to play or discuss a particular product?
For us, the news angle here is that Microsoft is recognizing the YouTubers as key influencers. The audience will need to make a determination about the level of transparency they expect from these folks and the YouTubers will have to decide their personal "rules." (Here's Joystiq's ethics policy, for the curious.)

Rock Band and Dance Central studio Harmonix cancelled an "unannounced Xbox One Kinect title", according to the CVof a senior level designer at the studio.
Uncovered by internet sleuth Superannuation (writing for Kotaku) the CV doesn't offer any details on the title other than it "was eventually cancelled".
In June 2012, Harmonix confirmed that it was working on "three and/or more" original IPs. John Drake, director of communications and brand management at Harmonix, said at the time: "Some of them are music games. Some of them are not full-on rhythm action games."
In addition to continuing to work on licensed properties, Drake indicated that the studio was planning toEbranch vut fromtrhythm Lames toÑdevelopênew proéerties Ón alteroative gTnres.[/WOLOR]

A hefty 13GB Dead Rising 3 update has reportedly been released for the Xbox One exclusive.
Update: Users have reported the update does not add 13GB to the total size of Dead Rising 3. Instead it overwrites previous data, leaving the total game size of Dead Rising 3 at around 25GB.
"For those worrying about HDD space, apparently 12GB of it re-writes original data so your only adding another 1.5GB of space. Hopefully it includes most of or all of the upcoming DLC, so its just a case of unlocking it," posted a user.
Original story continues: The update was first revealed in a Tweet from Xbox studio manager Mike Ybarra, who said: "Wow, a 13GB DR3 update? Holy... good thing I have 110mbps".
Publisher Microsoft is yet to officially announce and detail the contents of the update, but we've approached the company to find out what's included.
Operation Broken Eagle, the first of four Dead Rising 3 DLC packs, is expected to be released on January 21. It is speculated that the sizeable update is in preparation for the launch of the new content.
Those who want to play the game without downloading the update can do so by disconnecting the console from the internet. Obviously, Xbox Live becomes inaccessible when doing so.
Operation Broken Eagle will put players in control of Spec Ops Commander Adam Kane, who is on a mission to capture the missing president of the United States. The DLC is the first in a four-part series of game add-ons collectively titled Untold Stories of Los Perdidos.
Operation Broken Eagle will cost $9.99 standalone, with European pricing yet to be confirmed. Follow-up DLC packs titled Fallen Angel, Chaos Rising, and The Last Agent are also scheduled to launch in 2014.

Microsoft has confirmed that Xbox One outsold the PS4 in the US in December.
It’s the first sign that its next-gen machine could yet recover its market-leading position in the US market and offer a serious challenge to PS4, which has outpaced Microsoft’s console in all other key territories since launch.
"December NPD Group figures released today revealed Xbox One was the number one selling console in the market in the US, selling 908,000 units in December,” the company said.
“Additionally, Xbox 360 continued to see strong momentum with 643,000 units sold in December, putting it in the number three spot overall, and lead for last generation hardware.”
Sony, however, pointed out that PS4 for the time being at least remains the best-selling next-console overall in the US and blamed supply constraints for its December loss at the hands of its rival.
"PlayStation 4 remains the cumulative leader for next gen console sales in the US since the launch on November 15," it countered. "We sold every PS4 available at retail in the US and were out of stock in December due to overwhelming consumer demand."
According to the last available official figures global PS4 sales stand at 4.2m units with Xbox One at 3m.
3DS was the single best selling US console for both December and the entirety of 2013. In addition, Wii U sold more units in December than in any other prior month.
The best selling physical games for 2013 in the US were as follows:
- Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar)
- Call Of Duty: Ghosts (Activision)
- Madden NFL 25 (EA)
- Battlefield 4 (EA)
- Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag (Ubisoft)
- NBA 2K14 (2K Games)
- Call of Duty: Black Ops II (Activision)
- Just Dance 2014 (Ubisoft)
- Minecraft : Xbox 360 Edition (Microsoft)
- 10. Disney Infinity (Disney)

Players who have suffered a game crash bug while broadcasting in Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox 360 should find the game is now more amenable after a new update.
Broadcaster mode is Infinity Ward's take on the CODCast mode found in Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, allowing players to set up private matches and offer dynamic viewing angles for better spectating and shoutcasting.
In addition to resolving the game crash bug in Broadcaster mode, this update adds a kill feed display to Broadcaster mode, restricts certain perks while playing in competitive matches and disables the third-person spectator camera in private matches.
