Discover a new breed of game play where every object is available to use. Inventory is actually the world around you, for you to decide how you want to use it
As a fugitive, quick thinking and adaptation are essential to turn the situation to your advantage. However, enemies can also use the environment and resources to track you down
Blend in with a realistic crowd and navigate within a civilian environment, mimic them to go undetected, or instigate panic as a divisive way to become untraceable as you escape danger. Active stealth will force you to think and act quickly. However, you will have to weigh the risk of heavy force is always the other option
Use your underground connections to gain access to black market gadgets and weapons, or use consumer grade gear in ways they were not intended to complete your objectives
Play with, or against, your friends in the middle of a civilian crowd. But know that they will look like any other person, so your sense of observation and ability to act unnoticed are as important as reacting instantly to an unexpected threat
description
You are a fugitive and you’re being ruthlessly hunted by the very government you once served. The key to your survival is to improvise, adapt and overcome.
Experience original game play based on improvisation where your environment becomes your weapon. You need to react to changing situations and use the environment and the crowds around you to create diversions and deter your enemies.
Splinter Cell Conviction will deliver an adrenaline rush of game play with blood-pumping chase sequences, close combat and intense gun battles. To survive, build an underground network of allies who will help you obtain hi-tech gadgets and stay one step ahead of your pursuers as you struggle to unmask the forces that want you dead.

Over the past couple of years, we've seen dribbles of information here and there about the canceled Halo MMO, but a recent conversation IncGamers had with ex-Ensemble Studios employee Dusty Monk (yep, that's his real name) revealed not only the exorbitant cost of the planned development (three years of which took place before the game was canceled), but much, much more. First and foremost, the game's development was said to cost $90 million, as you likely inferred from the headline above. Second, the game was intended to be a "WoW killer," according to Monk.
"It was absolutely going to compete against WoW. You have to remember that Ensemble came from a standpoint of being really good at competing against Blizzard Entertainment," Monk said, using the Age of Empires series as an example. Unfortunately for the folks at Ensemble working on "Titan" (the codename for the Halo MMO), the launch and subsequent blistering success of the Nintendo Wii allegedly altered the direction that Microsoft wanted to take. "Microsoft, from its gaming division, was really changing directions. They were looking really hard at the Nintendo Wii and they were really excited by the numbers that the Wii was turning. This was about the time that Microsoft decided that its Xbox platform and XBLA really needed to go more in the direction of appealing to a more casual, broader audience." Given that new direction and what Monk calls a "very expensive, very long, and very protracted" development, Microsoft eventually shut down the project.
But hey, at least we got Halo Wars, right? Right?!

Epic lead designer Cliff 'Cliffy B' Bleszinski has called Gears Of War 3 "the worst kept secret in the industry".
The comment comes after Edge uncovered the title's release date - today confirmed as April 8th by Microsoft.
Edge subsequently predicted gameplay elements of the title would include enemy Locusts having tentacles that could stretch round cover - shown off in this morning's trailer.
"There are a lot of elements that go into it - graphics are kind of the thing that initially pull people in, but what ultimately matters is gameplay, right?" Bleszinski said on Jimmy Fallon's later night show on NBC last night.
"We have this whole thing in the business that we call resonance, and if you walk away from a game and you're mowing your lawn or whatever, you're walking your dog and you start thinking about it then that's a powerful thing. It's the same thing with like a good movie - if you see a good movie and you start thinking about it or talking about it with your friends, right? You can have a good story, you can have good graphics but ultimately gameplay is the thing that matters above everything else."
When revealing the announcement trailer, Bleszinski added: "It's actually the worst kept secret in the video game industry that we've been working on Gears of War 3."

Microsoft is likely to offer a new Xbox 360 slim model, 250 GB hard-drive and motion controller Project Natal in a hardware bundle for $299 by the end of the year.
That's according to Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter, who also suggested that should Microsoft lose significant market share to Sony in 2010, it could cut the price of the current Xbox 360 before the end of the summer.
"At a minimum, we anticipate the introduction of a more feature-packed Xbox 360 as the standard SKU in late 2010 (likely with a 250GB hard drive) at the same $299 price point, and think that Microsoft will cut price before the fall only if it begins to lose significant market share to Sony," Pachter told investors.
"It is far more likely that we will see a slim version of the Xbox 360 with a 250 GB hard drive and with Project Natal bundled into the box while maintaining the $299 price point, especially if Sony does not lower the price of the PS3 by the time Natal and Sony’s Move controllers launch in the fall."
A slim Xbox 360 is currently only a rumour, although images currently doing the rounds are offering a convincing argument for a new model console from Microsoft.

News via http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/12/k...kend-on-a-cha/
In a discussion with Kin project manager Derek Snyder this afternoon, we've confirmed that both the Kin One and Kin Two are built on the same foundation as the Zune HD -- in other words, they're running NVIDIA Tegra silicon, and there's no reason that anything you see on a Zune HD couldn't run just as well on a Kin. Of course, that's a purely theoretical statement at this point since Zune apps don't work on Kin as it stands -- the platform's completely closed, though Microsoft has been insistent that we should keep a close eye on its over-the-air updates after launch as features evolve. Either way, that's a marked (and curious) departure from Windows Phone 7, where Microsoft's been taking an all-Qualcomm, all-the-time approach.
Realistically, we've gotten the impression today that Kin doesn't come close to tapping out a Tegra's horsepower, but that might be by design: Snyder also mentioned that a key goal of the development phase was to make sure that the phones could go a whole weekend without a charge. Running a Tegra at full bore 24 / 7 doesn't lend itself to miserly power consumption, so the overall simplicity of the UI -- and the lack of 3D gaming -- might play a role there.

Even users of Microsoft's home console can be prone to malware. An application proposes to use his own PC to play on Xbox Live. A tool "interesting" but it is a java application trapped. A folder containing not less than 6 files that reveals many surprises.
Blog Sunbelt warns against the trap consists of two HTML pages, three images and a java file (. jar). If the user runs the program, a request for execution of java program appears. The unwary players accept the terms of use and validate the Java application, a Trojan will then download.
Last step, an icon appears update Microsoft unveiled a program called crypted.exe. It is actually a trojan called Fignotok (PWS.Win32.Fignotok.A). Its stated aim is then to gather the most IDs and passwords of other possible connection. Firefox, Internet Explorer, Steam or even Gmail and Hotmail happen to be prime targets of malware.
Once again, the only answer left is to pay attention to navigation and not to sink the urge to click on anything that moves, or even have a proper antivirus updated. Finally, special attention must always be made about applications unverified. But this, everyone knows ... in principle.

April 12th, 2010, 19:09 Posted By: wraggster
It's finally official: Microsoft Pink -- the product of Redmond's acquisition of Danger -- has just been unveiled as a pair of handsets sourced from Sharp (which made most of Danger's Sidekicks) known as the Kin One and Kin Two. The devices are being marketed as Windows Phones, and while they're ultimately based on most of the same underpinnings of Windows Phone 7, it's a distinctly and totally different experience -- the entire user interface is custom to Kin with a heavy social media slant, a custom browser (we're told it's based on the Zune's browser), and surprisingly, zero support for third-party apps. The displays are capacitive with support for multitouch (yes, you can pinch and zoom in the browser), but there's no support for in-browser Flash or Silverlight.
Kin One -- the phone we'd seen rumored as "Turtle" -- is basically a curved square slider with a QVGA display, 4GB of internal storage, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, and a full QWERTY keyboard. Kin Two, meanwhile, is the phone leaked as the "Pure," upping the ante with a HVGA display and a more traditional landscape QWERTY slide form factor. It also moves up to an 8 megapixel cam and 8GB of internal storage, but otherwise, the experience is roughly the same as what you get on the One; both phones have WiFi and Bluetooth in addition to their 3G cellular radios.. For what it's worth, Microsoft is emphasizing that internal storage really isn't a big deal with the Kin phones, because your entire photo and video collection that you capture using the onboard camera is synced seamlessly with your bottomless online storage; you can access the entire collection from your phone at any time by browsing thumbnails, and if you want the full content, you can download it. Kin comes bundled with a desktop web experience that's entirely based on Silverlight for viewing and sorting just about all of the major stuff that you can see on your phone -- contacts, social network status updates, images, and so on -- and we've got to admit, it looks pretty slick.

April 12th, 2010, 19:03 Posted By: wraggster
Bungie has recalled a hellish Halo 2 development that remains a grim reminder of what the studio never wants to revert to ever again.
"It was the most brutal development effort we've gone through," multiplayer designer Chris Carney told Eurogamer when we sat the developer down recently for a look back in time.
"We're so much more organised and focused now - mainly because some of us think back to that experience, the lack of daylight, the poor hygiene... These are things we just don't want to happen again!"
Chris Butcher, lead engineer, added: "I had a log that I kept of the times I went into work and the times I left work. Day after day after day, seven days a week, getting in reasonably early and then not leaving before 11 at night. Seven days a week, for months and months..."
"The crunch on Halo 2 was, 'Oh my god, we're f***ed. We're all going to die.' Months and months of that emotional, negative tone was really hard to deal with - but at the same time, we did a lot of awesome work."
Bungie was wildly over ambitious about what could be achieved. And a "smoke and mirrors" Halo 2 E3 presentation heaped on more unnecessary pressure. The result was feature genocide, as the team frantically scaled the game back in order to ship on time.
"Reconciling [our ambition] with reality was a brutal process, because it happened so late. We were still cutting features only four to five months before the game went gold," said Butcher.
Lead Halo 2 designer Jamie Griesemer said Bungie could have "absolutely" used a couple of extra months, but missing the last Xbox Christmas of 2004 "wasn't an option". And really, Bungie relished a deadline, as Griesemer believes the team could quite easily "create and scrap 20 versions of the game and never ship any of them" if given the freedom.
"If the creative process is easy," concluded Griesemer, "it probably means you're not doing anything interesting. Any really cutting-edge, triple-A, forefront-of-the-industry type creative process is going to be a little bit painful. It's just whether you're really working on something great, or whether it doesn't come out that well... You never really know until the end."

Microsoft has changed the options for Microsoft Points in the US, allowing users to purchase the currency in increments of 400, 800 and 1200, closer matching the price of full downloadable games.
The Xbox Live currency has been criticised in the past for forcing users to buy in increments of 500, leaving consumers with small, unused amounts after a purchase.
Earlier this year, the company said that it was trying to be more transparent with its online currency, claiming the Points system was never designed to mislead consumers.
Microsoft continues to use its own currency system, while rival Sony uses real-world currency local to the region on its PlayStation Network.
European prices for Microsoft Points currently remain unchanged.

Node21 (Team XeDev) released a new version of XM360.
What's new/fixed:
* Since there was actually zero feedback on the "remote" capabilities allowing one XM360 to talk to another one, I've stopped working on that feature. It's all still there, and ripe for improvement, if anyone cares.
* Added ability to sort by locked status in collection mgr
* Added support for overscan via config (see the config file for details)
* Correctly handle 0x7000 content type (GOD/downloads) (only allow launching, don't show locked state, don't allow remote transfer) You will have the "Rescan All" for this to take effect.
* Fixed message when unable to write a report (it used to report success, even upon failure)
!UPDATE! v1.4b has been released, here's what's new:
* Added the ability to specify (via config) where the "content.bin" file is located. This feature, along with a config file here: Hdd1:\config\xm360\xm360.cfg should allow XM360 to run as a LIVE container. See config file for details.
* Fixed bug where the virtual "usb:" device (first found usb device) wasn't mounted unless you did a "Rescan All"

Dstruktiv released a new version of QuickBoot (an application that builds "short cut" LIVE containers that will allow you to launch applications directly from NXE):
[QUOTE]
Just a quick release, you should now be able to point the shortcuts at .xbe files so you can launch your Xbox 1 originals straight from NXE. Of course you will need the hacked Xbox 1 emulator installed as well.
I'd love if someone could comment on this and let me know if it works, I've got no Xbox 1 games to test with.

News via http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbox1data/...AkzqXnveTG.php
AutoHacker is an app I wrote which helps automate the proccess of SMC/JTAG Hack (on nand-related stuff only, of course).
FEATURES:
- Motherboard Autodetection
- CB version / exploitability Autodetection
- Reads NAND two times (or part of it if we are using a BB Jasper)
- Compares the two backups, if they are identical, it saves them in a folder with a name of our choice.
- Extracts KV and ConfigBlock from the NAND Backup.
- Patches previously extracted KV and ConfigBlock in to the correct version of XBReboot (which is also autodetected).
- Writes final image to NAND memory of our console.
- Can also erase NAND (or part of it, if we are using a BB Jasper)
- Can also write original backup into NAND.
It can also be used regardless of JTAG Hacking in the following ways:
- Nand Dump
- Nand Compare
- Nand Write (any .bin image)
It uses a full (custom) GUI which saves as from typos or mistakes which can be done by manually typing in commands. It also saves as from looking up to Guides to determine the correct NAND addresses which are varied along with the motherboard revisions, since AutoHacker knows the motherboard we are working on, if it is exploitable etc. If something is not right (CB not exploitable / we have not patched XBR / we have not two identical backups) it does NOT overwrite our NAND. ;D
NOTICE: This program DEPENDS on NandPro(info) and does NOT replace it.
I will update the app regularly, fixing bugs and adding features. Of course, each time a new XBR comes out, AutoHacker will need to be updated (this goes without saying).
