Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 will let you smoke bongs and once again visit prostitutes, a new ESRB rating for the game has revealed. The US board has collected together a detailed list of the game's various violent sections, digital sex acts and drug use (thanks, Kotaku).Fair warning, the following contains very mild spoilers."Players use pistols, machine guns, sniper rifles, and explosives to kill various enemies (e.g., rival gang members); players also have the ability to shoot non-adversary civilians, though this may negatively affect players' progress as a penalty system triggers a broad police search. Blood-splatter effects occur frequently, and the game contains rare depictions of dismemberment."In one sequence, players are directed to use various instruments and means to extract information from a character; the sequence is intense and prolonged, and it involves some player interaction (i.e., responding to on-screen prompts)."No nudity is depicted on screen while indulging in the services of a prostitute, although it will be present during a scene at a lap dance club. Male genitalia will be exposed "in a non-sexual context" during a mission involving cult members."Within the game, TV programs and radio ads contain instances of mature humor," the listing continues. "Myriad sex jokes; depictions of raw sewage and feces on a worker's body; a brief instance of necrophilia (no nudity is depicted)."Some sequences within the larger game allow players to use narcotics (e.g., smoking from a bong, lighting a marijuana joint); cocaine use is also depicted. Players' character can, at various times, consume alcohol and drive while under the influence. The words "f**k," "c*nt," and "n**ger" can be heard in the dialogue."GTA5's ratings board listing is another sign that the game - now less than a month away - is finally complete. Grand Theft Auto 5's achievement list leaked earlier this week.

DICE and EA have given the first details of Battlefield 4 Premium, a service that gives fans access to extra content for the hotly-anticipated shooter.
The paid content follows the success of Battlefield 3 Premium, which was launched back in 2011.
During its Gamescom press conference, Electronic Arts promised Premium would give players access to five expansion packs and 12 battlepacks, which include new weapons and gadgets.
They will also receive new content every week, and be able to access certain content two weeks ahead of everyone else.
Finally, Premium owners will be given "priority server cues" to ensure that they can always enjoy the multiplayer mode.
UPDATE: Electronic Arts has since released more information about Battlefield 4 Premium.
A year's membership will cost you $50, and can be transferred from Xbox 360 to Xbox One or from PS3 to PS4. The two weeks of early access is for the expansion packs, which have been dated.
Second Assault will be available on Xbox One first, and features reimagined versions of Battlefield 3 maps. This will be followed by China Rising in December.
Naval Strike will be the first 2014 expansion pack. Launching in Spring, this will focus on ocean combat. Summer 2014 will see the release of the last two expansions Dragon's Teeth and Final Stand.
Premium members will also receive exclusive personlisation options for their multiplayer soldier, incluidng camos, emblems and dogtags.

Microsoft’s mercifully concise media presentation at Gamescom this morning displayed plenty of the attitude that has defined the console’s public outings to date, no matter how much the platform holder has changed its mind since May 21.It remains a mainstream entertainment box, and aligning itself so closely with videogame colossi FIFA and Call Of Duty is Microsoft’s smartest move yet in a pre-launch campaign fraught with blunders. In terms of mainstream player power, it’s difficult to imagine a better one-two punch. The news that every European Xbox One pre-order will now come with a free copy of FIFA 14 is sensational, and the Call Of Duty: Ghosts bundle – allied with a string of timed, exclusive content drops – cements the Xbox brand’s close affiliation with the industry’s biggest shooter. This was Microsoft playing to the average joe, who couldn’t care less about independent development, DRM or who ‘won’ E3 – they just want to play CoD or FIFA, and they’ll buy the console best for doing that. A new current-gen FIFA bundle, offering the game and an Xbox 360 for £199, was also confirmed in a press release that followed the conference this morning – a proposition that will cannily sweep up anyone outside the existing player base that hasn’t got a box to play FIFA on yet and might be tempted by a £200 splurge.

Free devkits and no game update fees puts MS back into indie fold
Microsoft has detailed its vision on self-publishing for indie developers on the Xbox One.
The firm said it had met with more than 50 developers asking what they wanted from a self-publishing program as it plotted its course to create a more open platform.
As of today Microsoft is taking applications for the initiative, called Independent Developers @ Xbox (ID@Xbox).
Those accepted to the program will become a registered Xbox One developer. Microsoft said it would give priority access to indies who "have a proven track record of shipping games on console, PC, mobile or tablet".
There will be no application fees and there will be no costs for certification or game updates.

'While others has shifted their message and changed their story, we were consistent'
Sony’s Andrew House took a dig at Microsoft for its Xbox One policy reversals after taking the stage for the firm’s Gamescom 2013 conference.
House, president and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment, said that Sony had been consistent in its message, and suggested certain other company’s had not done the same.
Microsoft has previously taken U-turns for Xbox One on its daily online check-in policies, pre-owned and the need for Kinect to be constantly connected.
“While others has shifted their message and changed their story, we were consistent in maintaining a message that is fair and in tune with consumer desires,” he said.
“We strove to deliver a platform that delivers both power and great value. And the response we’ve received has been nothing short of incredible.”

Microsoft has turned to Electronic Arts in a bid to spark interest in Xbox One, MCV has been told.
At Gamescom tomorrow, an Xbox One/FIFA 14 tie-up will be announced in a bid to win over European gamers, according to two senior games industry sources. The bundle will still retail for £429.99, the same price as the Xbox One base unit.
The move is designed to make Xbox One appear better value for money as it currently retails for £80 more than PS4. FIFA 14 has an RRP of £54.99.
We checked with EA and Microsoft, who both said: 'no comment'. But we should know all the details tomorrow morning.
FIFA is the biggest game in Europe - FIFA 13 sold 3m copies in the UK alone over the last year – so the deal would make sense. And is a potential coup for Microsoft.
It would also be a show of commitment to Europe after the platform holder disappointed consumers by announcing that some markets would have to wait until 2014 to buy Xbox One.

The Zune Marketplace will close its virtual doors whenever Microsoft decides to flip the switch and convert from MS Points to local currency, which could be as soon as Thursday, August 22 according to the Zune Marketplace FAQ.
The Zune Marketplace's movie and television rental/purchasing functionalities will be taken over by the Xbox Video platform, whereas its musical feature set will become the domain of Xbox Music, provided you've got a subscription to the service that allows streaming to an Xbox 360. Microsoft recommends that you "spend your points balance prior to this change," but last we heard MS Points will be converted into an amount of local currency of equal or greater value.

The complete roster for WWE 2K14's 30 Years of WrestleMania mode was announced earlier today by legendary WWE commentators Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler, during an appropriately dramatic and (Ric) flair-filled press event held at this weekend's WWE SummerSlam AXXESS event in Los Angeles.
The roster, listed in its entirety after the break, is made up of 33 wrestlers, 10 of which have "Retro" variants, bringing the entire cast of characters up to 43 unbelievably giant, sweaty men. Highlights of the list include relatively recent personalities such as The Rock, CM Punk and John Cena, as well as classic competitors such as Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Mick Foley, Ric Flair and Goldberg.
It's worth noting that these wrestlers have been announced specifically for the 30 Years of WrestleMania mode, and that 2K Sports has yet to divulge which will also be available for use in the game's other modes.

Microsoft senior director of product planning Albert Penello has explained the reason for Xbox One's delay in eight European markets.
"Launch volumes are not really an issue," he said on NeoGAF. "This was simply a software issue in terms of getting local language and voice support in the dash. It's pretty straightforward, but disappointing I know for people who are missing launch."
While Penello said he was in favour of people waiting for the official supported launch in the affected markets to ensure they get "the best experience", he acknowledged that importing the console is an option.
First, he reiterated that all Xbox One games are region free, which isn't the case on Xbox 360.
"Second, the console will work everywhere (keeping in mind power supplies)," he said. With regards to that caveat, Penello is saying it's likely systems will work in other countries, but Microsoft cannot guarantee it due to, among other things, power supply and adaptability issues.
Penello said: "You can use one of the 13 digital marketplaces corresponding to our launch markets, assuming you have a valid payment instrument for those countries."
However, he also said music and video content can be geo-restricted based on licensing.
The Xbox One price has been set at £430/€500/$500.

Seemingly keen to soften the blow for gamers in Nordic and Benelux, Microsoft has pointed out that Xbox One can be imported.
The move represents another U-turn of sorts – Xbox One was at one stage designed to be region locked and its previous online-centric approach had previously meant itwouldn’t function in countries where Xbox Live is not officially supported.
But following this week’s confirmation that Xbox One won’t arrive in some European territories until 2014 Microsoft has pointed out that importing is now a viable option.
"When the console launches this November, we will support Xbox One in 13 markets. Xbox One may be used in all countries, including the non-launched markets,” a statement on Eurogamer reads.
“In addition, Xbox One games are not region locked. Any Xbox One game purchased at retail can be used in any country on any Xbox One.
"That said, there needs to be a valid payment method corresponding to a supported launch country in order for any transactions to occur over Xbox Live, and some content may not be accessible outside launch markets due to geographic content restrictions imposed by content right holders."
