I'm looking to buy a modchip for my xbox (which i have no clue how to find the v#). All i care about is playing my backups of my games. and maybe xbox live if possible. I'm a little worried about soldering but i think i can do it. What kind of chip do you guys reccomend for a complete noob.

if anyone knows anything technical about the playstation emulator on xbox i could use some help... i have all of the final fantasy games and they work until i get into a fight... then the screen blinks and i can see the fight menu... does anyone know how to correct this???? i think there has to be some sort of fix. if anyone knows where i can get this fix please share.

Having trouble with sureal 64. Ive put some n64 roms in the rom folder for surreal64. But when i boot the emu up none of the games will show . What am i doing wrong? I downloaded some snes and mega drive roms and they all played fine . But the surreal roms just will not be found they are in there but will not show them. Can someone please help me?

I have an xecutor3, am in Canada (NTSC region same as US), and have a playback problem on PAL games - I wonder if this is Television display problem (am connected to an older TV via RCA video & audio jack), or executor3/xbox problem. Can anyone help??
Believe I have v.1953 of X3 bios installed (friend installed mod etc for me)
along with slayers evox - 2.6 installer
What happens: When I slip in a PAL DvD (or play one that was installed on my HD for me) the game "plays" in the sense that I can see game startup screens and hear music even move chars - the problem is that I only see the game in Black and White (not color) and the television screen scrolls (pages) upward vertically. So really the games are unplayable.
As a newb to the modded X-box scene I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and knows what the problem is? (is it: PAL playback setting (where? where do I change?) - xecutor3 bios version? (what version should I be using?) - television problem? - (need different TV for playback that supports? what? can anyone recommend?)

Fablemod has a few saves that'll alter things a bit, yes all thast needed is an ar to get the saves over & you can go for it on an unmodded box. Fable1.01 ramps up the difficulty a bit, you can find the sword of aeons early to help, just go to the chamber of destiny (or is it fate?) to see the increased toughness

Xport has updated his 286/386 PC emulator for the xbox, heres whats new :[br][br]Autoexec lines were no longer being automatically created in v6. This is fixed.[br]Added support for USB connectors on your joypad upper/lower memory card slots. Unfortunately I cannot test this, so someone will need to let me know if this works or not.[br][br]More info on this emulator Here

This fixes the configuration problems where different games have the same executable filename (e.g. play.exe ). My name is Chris, and I am a commissioner for a league site (XBLLN). We run several different leagues including FIFA 2005 Club and International team leagues.

If you are looking for an adult league, where guys actually play their games, don't cheese, and show good sportsmanship then we are for you. This league is about competition, rivalries and wins/losses. Our leagues have been around for 5 years PC/XBOX, we are not a hit and run league. Most of our members play in all of our leagues (Madden, FIFA, NFL 2K5, NHL 2K5, HALO 2, NCAA, NBA etc. etc.) which creates an even more sportsman like environment.
In our league we use the top 32 teams, in both the International and the Club leagues. There isn't a huge discrepancy between the #1 and the #32 team, so it is still possible to compete with a lesser team. Also, we play 2 seasons, the first season is first come first serve and the second we have a team draft where the guy who finished last gets to pick his team first etc. The second season follows immediately after the first.
We have had players win our other leagues with lesser teams. In our Madden league our best player is 8-1 with the worst team in the game. Plus you have the factor of guys actually playing with teams they root for even if they are not the best team available.
As for scheduling, I can understand, as so does the rest of our league. It is an adult league and we all (well most of us) have careers as well. The schedule is light, you are only required to play one game a week. It is set up this way due to the reason we have players in the UK, Ireland, Canada, and the US currently (hopefully Australia soon =)...). All the different time zones make for a lot guys playing their games on the weekends.
The Club league is a 17 week season, consisting of a 16 game schedule.
One game a week, plus whatever tournies or ranked games you sign-up for.
12 teams will make the playoffs in the Club league. The playoffs in the Club league are single elimination. The International league is a 10 week season, 10 game schedule, plus whatever tournies and ranked games you sign up for. 16 teams will make the playoffs (tourny). The playoffs will be a best of 3 games scenario for each round of play. We play back to back seasons. So even if you don't make the playoffs you get revenge in the second season. We do a team draft in the second season, with the guy who finished last getting the first pick and so on, so if you are not happy with your teams in season one you will be guaranteed new teams 2nd season.
