Xbox Live director of programming Larry 'Major Nelson' Hyrb said on his latest podcast: "The Xbox One will ship with a 500GB hard drive, all of them have that. The future plan is definitely to support external storage, much like we do on the Xbox 360. My understanding is that feature will not be there at launch because the team's working on some other things, but it's definitely on the list, I don't know when it'll come in though." Xbox One head of product planning Albert Penello said in May that the console will have a non-removable 500GB hard drive. External storage solutions will be used through the console's USB 3.0 port.
Microsoft said last month that Xbox One's launch had been pushed backto 2014 in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland. Penello said the delay was due to Kinect voice-control localisation rather than supply issues.
Xbox One will launch in 13 markets this November. The Xbox One pricehas been set at £430 / €500 / $500.
GAME is once again taking pre-orders for Xbox One Day One Edition consoles, having previously halted them.
