A future Xbox One update will introduce the ability to take and share screenshots on social networks.
Asked about plans to introduce such a feature, Xbox boss Phil Spencer said on Twitter: "Yea, this is [on] the list for the monthly updates, team is making great progress on the updates. More features to come."
Xbox One's feature set has been growing regularly since the console's release in November 2013. June's Xbox One system update will be headlined by the introduction of external storage support. Users will also be able to share their real names with people on their friends list and select an account for automatic sign-in.
Microsoft has made a number of significant announcements over the past few weeks, most notably regarding plans to release an Xbox One without Kinect for the first time.
The company also said earlier this month that Games with Gold willlaunch on Xbox One in June with Max: The Curse of Brotherhood and Halo: Spartan Assault.
Titled 'Game On', Microsoft's E3 2014 media briefing will begin on June 9 at 9:30am PT / 12:30am ET / 5:30pm BST.
