Xbox 360 Gains A Little Ground In Japan - Nearly Doubles Weekly Sales!

Media Create Co. on Thursday reported that the Xbox successor sold 1,897 units from June 26 to July 2.

By comparison the console sold 1,169 units the week prior.

In addition, the Xbox 360 charted two software releases in the top 50 software sales in Japan during the same period. In recent weeks, the top 50 had been without an Xbox 360 title.

The console still has plenty of room for improvement as it struggles to gain market share in the territory. While the 360 neared 2,000 units in sales for the week, the Nintendo DS sold 153,566 units, the PSP 25,935 units, and the PS2 23,133 units in the same period.
