Market research analyst NDP has revealed the first estimates for North American console Christmas sales - and the Xbox 360 has come out on top, beating both PS3 and Wii at retail.
According to NDP, the Xbox 360 sold 2 million units followed by the Nintendo Wii which managed to shift 1.8 million. PS3 meanwhile, presumably still suffering from an on-going hardware drought, only managed to shift 750,000 units.
The 360's sales win can presumably be put down to plentiful stock compared to the other two freshly-launched consoles, as well as a number of enticing hardware bundles that appear to have proved a hit with punters.
