Warner Music and Microsoft have penned a deal that will see a greater emphasis places on pushing videogame soundtracks in your face.
Under terms of the deal Warner Music will claim, administer and license music compositions owned and controlled by Microsoft. Some of these will obviously include scores for Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Age of Empires, Fable, Kameo: Elements of Power.
Ed Pierson, Warner's legal chap, explains: "We're confident we can develop and identify some exciting and unique new licensing opportunities for these well-known game compositions."
So a Halo 3 pop single for the charts? Sung by the Scissor Sisters? We'll let you know.
