At least one more Japanese studio is developing an Xbox One exclusive to bolster the console's regional selection.
Microsoft studios corporate VP Phil Spencer told Famitsu (translated byDualShockers): "A unique exclusive title for Xbox One is going to be released by an awesome Japanese studio." Last week, Microsoft announced plans to launch Xbox One in 26 new markets in September 2014, including Japan.
Spencer told Famitsu Microsoft will have a lot to demonstrate at Tokyo Game Show, which begins on September 18, and he wants "to show everyone something never seen before. Stay tuned!" Deadly Premonition creator Hidetaka 'Swery' Suehiro's next project, D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, was announced as an Xbox One exclusive - a status Suehiro reconfirmed in November.
Spencer also said last week that Microsoft's E3 2014 press conferencewill feature "very few execs" and is already overstuffed with game-related announcements.
He also downplayed concerns about the ID@Xbox release-date parity clause, saying Microsoft is having "ongoing discussions with independent developers".
