TGS: Star Ocean 360 coming to Europe

The latest instalment in Square Enix's Star Ocean series, The Last Hope, will be released on Xbox 360 in Europe next year, the company has confirmed.

The new instalment - the first to release on an Xbox platform - is actually a prequel set in the aftermath of World War III, as humanity voyages into the stars in search of a new home world.

It's being developed by Tri-Ace and promises to bring Star Ocean's real-time battle system bang up to date. Stat fans are going to love this.

"STAR OCEAN has already proved to be a popular series in Japan, we now hope that players around the world can discover why," Square Enix president John Yamamoto said at the Tokyo Game Show.

Last Hope will be fully localised for PAL territories with French, German, Spanish and Italian subtitles, says SE.
