Capcom has confirmed that as of July 31, it'll let you pay $20 to unlock those 12 "DLC" characters in Street Fighter X Tekken on PS3 and 360.
You know - the ones that sparked an uproarwhen they were discovered to be on the disc you already own. The ones Vita players will get at no extra charge when that version launches later this year. Yeah, those. The 1600 Microsoft Points / $20.00 unlock, which includes Blanka, Sakura, Guy, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Jack, Bryan Fury, Alisa, Lars, Lei and Christie, will be released alongside a free balance patch. Here's a partial list of changes:
-Ryu, Ken and Akuma's Tatsumaki Sempuu kyaku have all had their hitboxes reduced in size
-Rolento's jabs addressed!
-Xiaoyu's crouching hard kick phoenix loops
-Raven crouching HP loops
-Auto-block gem has been re-balanced
Surprisingly, Capcom didn't leave the DLC controversy unmentioned in the announcement: "I know the 12 DLC characters have been a contentious topic since they were discovered on the disc, but your reactions have been heard," said the rep on Capcom-Unity.
"We can cite our reasons why they were on the disc all day - compatability for all players, save HD space, download bandwidth etc - but in the end you have to hear what the community has to say. The dev teams are listening, and promise to incorporate that feedback into future titles - fighting or otherwise."
