Evidence is mounting that the next game in the Splinter Cell series will be called Conviction.
However, Ubisoft was unable to comment on the game this morning, and suggested we might find our more at the upcoming UbiDays event in Paris.
Details of the new game arose on Kotaku, which printed an excerpt from Pelaaja-magazine suggesting that Sam Fisher will take the role of a fugitive this time around.
That echoes what we've been hearing from other sources within the UK games industry, who've also mentioned the name "Splinter Cell: Conviction" and hinted at a premise that puts Sam on the run.
Microsoft has previously said that the game following Splinter Cell: Double Agent will be a console-exclusive on Xbox 360, which suggests we might see it on PC as well, but not PS3.
And Ubisoft recently announced a new Tom Clancy IP called EndWar - a strategy game combining elements of previous titles in the franchise.
It's all expected to come to a head at the UbiDays event in Paris, which takes place on 22nd and 23rd May.
