PlayStation fans will be left out of the fun with the new Serious Sam update, titled Serious Sam: The First Encounter HD, having been confirmed for XBLA and PC only.

As reported earlier today, the game is described as a "grab you by the jibblies run and gun, twitch FPS," featuring big guns, an insane number of enemies, four-player online co-op and revamped HD visuals.

A spokesperson for the publisher told us there are currently no plans for a PS3 version. Shame, that.
