The ESRB website is listing Quake 3: Team Arena for release on Xbox 360, and the finger of speculation is pointing to Live Arcade as the culprit.
Microsoft and id Software haven't commented on the post, but the website lists Pi Studios as the developer. Pi has previously worked with Call of Duty, Mercenaries and Halo Vista properties.
For the uninitiated, Quake 3 was id's multiplayer-focused deathmatch shooter. Team Area came later, adding super team support to the formula.
One site speculates that the game will be release via Xbox Live Arcade now that a cap on the size limit of games has been removed.
