New Titanfall game modes will be released to all players free of charge.
Responding to fan questions on Twitter, Respawn Entertainment co-founder Vince Zampella confirmed that new modes will be released separately from premium DLC. "DLC is in the works, not quite done yet tho," he said. "Modes we release will be free to all, not part of DLC."
Respawn has confirmed plans to release three paid Titanfall DLC packs, each of which will contain new maps and other yet to be determined content.
The DLC can be pre-purchased at a discounted rate as part of the Titanfall season pass, which is priced at $24.99 in North America and £19.99 in the UK. Standalone DLC packs will cost $10, Zampella said.
He also confirmed plans to stage Titanfall double XP weekends in the future.
Earlier this month, Respawn community manager Abbie Heppe didn't rule out the possibility of adding to the game's three existing Titan classes, but she said doing so would be a massive undertaking.
Respawn's debut game is available on PC and Xbox One worldwide. The Xbox 360 Titanfall release date was recently delayed for a second time, to April 8 in North America and April 11 in Europe.
