All downloadable content will be available first on Xbox One
Activision is looking to shake up the Call of Duty franchise once more with the development of Call of Duty: Ghosts.
To be released on the Xbox One, CEO of Activision publishing Eric Hirshberg said that all downloadable content for the title would be available first exclusively on Xbox One.
The game will be powered by a new next-gen-tailored game engine, which Hirshberg said was designed to help Infinity Ward set new standards with the latest Call of Duty.
He added the game was a completely new spin-off to the franchise, featuring a new world, narrative and cast, and said the next-gen console was an "opportune time to develop a new experience".
The game will include new features such as the ability to slide across the ground, as well as dynamic maps in which users can interact with the environment, such as causing logs to fall down a hill.
