One of the largest gaming events, the E3 in Los Angeles has started. And Microsoft just kicked it off yesterday (14th June) with their big presentation: Kinect™ (previously named project Natal), the movement sensing gadget is finally scheduled to be released in November. 15 compatible games will be release as a starting line-up and what we could see from the E3 show, the Kinect really has the potential to get not just casual gamers moving.
There will be no more controllers in your hand, it's no longer about button sequences, it's about your actual movements .
The sleek, shiny Kinect™ holds a camera and sensor unit that follows your movements so precise that it really opens a new gaming dimension, far beyond simple party games.
The Kinect™ also features speech recognition adding voice commands to take control of the menus and games. Simply tell your console to play a game or go online for a video chat or similar.
The Kinect™ will come in November, preorder it today to test out the new gaming experience before everyone does.
Kinect US US$ 169.90
All Kinect compatible games and accessories you will find in our new Kinect category.
The aim of the Kinect™ is to get you off the couch. The 15 launch titles are covering a wide range of activities. You can do body building under the guidance of the coach, learn a new dance, grab onto an imaginary wheel and use your whole body to control your game car, or go on an adventure which you need to solve puzzles and move muscles to win.
Join a game by jumping into the action. Without having to use controllers, you can include as much people as your living room could hold into your game. Let your family jump in and out of the fun, or pull them into your adventure to assist you whenever you need them.
Take pictures of your winning pose and share them on the net when you finish. The series of games will be released in November so you can have something to test your Kinect action with. Currently we have 6 of the 15 games in our database, available on preorder, more will be added soon:
