Microsoft's Kinect team is reportedly working "very hard" to potentially quadruple the accuracy of Kinect.
The platform holder hopes that the motion-sensing peripheral will soon be able to detect finger movement and hand rotation, according to Eurogamer.
The depth sensor used by Kinect is currently set at a 30 frames per second limit and a 320x240 resolution limit, but a firmware update could boost the resolution to 640x480, the site suggests.
Microsoft has not confirmed the accuracy of the report.
Last month, Sony Move engineer Anton Mikhailov claimed the fast-selling Kinect is 'mostly technical problems'.
