With just five weeks until the Major League Gaming (MLG) Fall Championship in Dallas from November 2-4, MLG has released new details about the pre-release Halo 4 tournament.
The Tournament
Some of the world’s best teams and players including past MLG Halo Champions Instinct and Status Quo, renowned player Ogre 1, Call of Duty team Optic, and more will compete in the 4 v 4 tournament for a chance at $40,000 in prizes. Competitors will have the opportunity to practice and scrimmage on Friday, November 2 beginning at 1:30pm with the competition taking place on Saturday, November 3 and Sunday, November 4. Passes are available now.
In Dallas, teams will compete in a dedicated tournament area with a feature station showcasing select matches leading up to the finals on Championship Sunday. A large video screen above the competition area will broadcast gameplay for spectators to congregate and watch the action LIVE from the show floor.
The Broadcast and Casters
The three-day online broadcast will be cast by legendary Halo Pro Dave “Walshy” Walsh and Halo coach and personality Andy “Bravo” Dudynsky. Fans can watch the competition LIVE at www.majorleaguegaming.com via a dedicated Halo 4 stream beginning Friday, November 2 at 5pm CST.
The Broadcast Schedule
Friday, November 2 – 5:00pm – Midnight CST (Broadcast):
· First Look Game Analysis - Bravo, Walshy and pro players will provide an in-depth first look at the game including a Pro analysis of new weapons, gametypes, maps, and features.
· Interviews – Bravo and Walshy interview top competitors and personalities attending MLG Dallas to get their first thoughts on the new game, and to divulge how they prepared for the tournament.
· Scrimmages - Top teams will face off as they warm-up and formulate strategies for the first time in Halo 4. The broadcast will showcase Pro Scrimmages, Show-Matches, and Exhibition.
