A new analyst report claims that the purchase intent for Microsoft and Sony's next-generation motion control devices is "relatively low".
The post-E3 report from analysts at EEDAR says that the awareness of the Move and Kinect among core gamer types is high, but their intent to actually head to stores in autumn and trade cash for them isn't up to par.
Purchase intent for the devices "ranked relatively low" on EEDAR's charts, falling short of the top-20 range. Interestingly, the report also says that more gamers are interested in Kinect than Move, although it notes that this is likely down to the 360's large install base. Relatively speaking, it says both "showed near equal popularity".
EEDAR, who got its figures from IGN traffic, points out that purchase intent for both products should rise as they draw nearer to release and more games are announced.
