Hitman Absolution and Deadlight will be free to download in April for all Xbox Live Gold members.
Microsoft announced on the Xbox Wire that the assassination game from IO Interactive and Square Enix will be free from April 1 through 16. Released in November 2012, Hitman Absolution is usually priced at £14.99/$19.99 on the Xbox Games Store.
CVG's Hitman Absolution review concluded: "Feels like 'proper' Hitman, mixed with new ideas of varying quality. Crucially, it's great fun, and you'll want to play Absolution through more than once." Survival horror sidescroller Deadlight will be available from April 16 through 30. It normally costs £11.99/$14.99 on the Xbox Games Store.
In our Deadlight review, we said the Xbox Live Arcade title was "not smart or precise enough to be a puzzle-platformer, but as a cinematic one it's unrivalled." Announced at E3 in June 2013, Games with Gold gives XBLG subscribers two free games to keep each month, with a new title made available on the 1st and 16th of each month.
While it was originally revealed as a limited time campaign, Microsoft said in October that Games with Gold would be an "ongoing benefit" with no end date planned.
In November, the platform holder also revealed plans to launch Games with Gold on Xbox One in 2014.
