Halo 3: Pistol returns in new artwork!

The official Halo 3 website has updated with new artwork and details on Bungie's shooter sequel - including our first glimpse at the third instalment's revamped pistol.

According to the website listing, the M6D pistol has a "relatively fast rate of fire and good accuracy", while series loyalists will be pleased to hear that it also sports a 2x zoom - so hopefully it won't be as rubbish as Halo 2's magnum.

Elsewhere on the site there are more plot details surrounding the Elite's new-found alliance with humans, some mild spoilers on returning heroes (and baddies) in the characters section and some lovely artwork that we've included below.
