Halo 3: ODST 'Campaign Edition' ditches MP for digital release

Microsoft has repackaged Halo 3: ODST into a single-player-only offering for digital download.

'Halo 3: ODST Campaign Edition' was released via Xbox Live Marketplace today, downloadable now for $14.99 and requiring 3.47GB of hard drive space.As the overview confirms, the Campaign Edition "includes only the Campaign and Firefight modes," and it "does not include the Halo 3 competitive multiplayer functionality or maps" which came with the original retail version of the game on a separate disc.We gave the 2009-released title a 9.0 score in our review, praising it for its darker tone and new, more thoughtful story-driven pace, along with the brilliant Firefight mode.
