GRID goes Live

Get your Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 connected to the net today and you'll find yourself the opportunity to grab a demo of Race Driver: GRID, Codemasters' latest racer that looks to wow petrolheads this coming summer – and as an extra incentive to take up some of your beloved hard drive space, there's the chance to win a BMW 3-Series car for EU players who can bag the fastest lap.

Offering up a generous cross section of Codemasters' comprehensive take on the world of racing, the demo allows players to get behind the wheel of a Ford Mustang GT-R in San Francisco, a Nissan S15 Silvia around the docks of Yokohama and a BMW 320si on the Spanish Jarama circuit.

The BMW 3-Series – which would normally set you back to the tune of over £20,000 – will be contested for in a final showdown in the zavvi store on London's Oxford Street on May 23, with the top five players taken from the European online leaderboards and duking it out face to face.

Xbox 360 owners can get their hands on the demo now, and it's expected to land on the PlayStation Network later today.
