The latest Fable 2 developer update has wielded the first images of Lionhead's 360 RPG sequel - and if you're excited by pixels and half-finished ground textures, you're in for a treat.
"It wasn't long before the cube was replaced with the mesh of a human, giving birth to the short-lived but much-loved crotch cam," the update reads, with a screenshot of what appears to be a polygonal package.
"During this time our meshes had become textured and our camera was no longer nestled inside someone's crotch. Tiny little dots are actually visual representations of life forms in Albion, spending their days playing a game of tag amongst each other. It wasn't very long before these dots were replaced by the original Hero from Fable, but just as placeholder artwork"
But, if you look a bit harder through the mischief Lionhead offers some more general information on Fable 2's progress, noting that it is adding "functionality, slicker visuals and most importantly a lot of new features" as development progresses.
Fable 2 is expected to exit Lionhead's doors sometime next year. Or the year after. Or the year after that...
