As if it's not already almost-certainly being tinkered with behind the scenes, Epic games has hinted at a sequel to its multi-million selling shooter Gears of War, in an interview with CVG.
Speaking at last week's Midway Gamers' Day in Las Vegas, Unreal Tournament 3 producer Jeff Morris joked that Epic may be the victim of its own success: "It's funny because I think Gears started after a lot of people were a little fatigued working on UT, and now they're all probably making Gears for the rest of their lives, so the shoe has turned.
"I read somewhere that every sequel sells 10 percent less or more than the previous did," Morris continued, "and yeah we'd love to sell another 3 million copies of another Gears product. Success is an addiction."
So there will be a second Gears of War then? "If people want another one I'm sure there'll be another one but there are certainly no announcements." And yes - we do want another one.
