Call of Duty (COD) Ghosts will have its own servers that gamers can use for online multiplayer on Xbox One and PC.
Developer Infinity Ward made the announcement at Gamescom 2013 in Germany, which should come as welcome news for many COD fans, considering Infinity Ward dropped dedicated servers in Modern Warfare 2 in exchange for a peer-to-peer system.
However, it's not clear whether the PS3, PS4 and Xbox 360 versions of COD Ghosts will have dedicated servers or not.
Call Of Duty Ghosts developer Mark Rubin told NowGamer: "Well, we're having to not talk about all of it right now.
"We did mention dedicated servers on Xbox One. We're also doing dedicated servers on PC.
"Dedicated servers is definitely one of those things that we think will help [control the game's online multiplayer]. It's not the silver bullet, but I think it's something that keeps in our philosophy of always trying to make the game experience better."
Call of Duty Ghosts launches on November 5th. It's the latest game in the mega popular Call of Duty video game war shooter series.
