Call Of Duty Championship turns Black Ops into new eSport

The first Call Of Duty Champsionship will offer a £1 million prize and take place in Hollywood between April 5^th and 7^th.The tournament is the result of a partnership between Activision, Xbox, Major League Gaming and the Electronic Sports League. They will bring together the best 32 multiplayer teams to compete head-to-head in a live-streamed event.“Watching the performances of the very best Call of Duty players is already a mass spectator sport on YouTube and Call of Duty Elite,” CEO of Activision Publishing Eric Hirshberg. “We are going to bring the best players in the world to Hollywood to compete on the ultimate stage, for the ultimate prize. And we are going to invite our entire worldwide fan base to join in the fun.”Black Ops II players can register at the official site and then attempt to qualify by competing in the February season of League Play in Call of Duty: Black Ops II on Xbox Live, which opens today.
