Blue Dragon gets top marks in Japan

Flagship Xbox 360 RPG Blue Dragon has nabbed top marks in the latest issue of highly-respected Japanese mag Famitsu, receiving scores of 9, 9, 9 and 10 from is panel of reviewing editors.

This gives the RPG an impressive final score of 37/40, raising hopes for Microsoft that the Mistwalker title might just help them finally crack the Land of the Rising Sun.

Thanks to the large fanbase surrounding Dragon Ball Z artist Akira Origami - who designed the characters in the game - pre-orders for the special edition Blue Dragon 360 bundle have already been snapped up by gamers across Japan.

Could this be the turning point for Microsoft's fumble in the Far East? We'll let you know when Blue Dragon hits Japanese shops next month.
