A Battlefield Hardline beta will be available on "all platforms" ahead of the game's launch.
The game is scheduled for release on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on October 21 in North America, October 23 in Europe, and October 24 in the UK. Publisher EA launched a Battlefield Hardline multiplayer beta last Monday, which is currently available to PC and PS4 players.
"We will have a beta on all platforms before release," DICE's General Manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson told OXM. "But it won't be this beta on Xbox. It's not going to be the same version, just to be clear."
DICE said last week that it's considering introducing early access schemes for its future Battlefield games to help ensure more stable product launches.
Troedsson explained: "We basically have code in the hands of players already, here at E3. We've never done that before. We do it both because we want their feedback of course, but also because in the background we are testing various things. We're going to continue doing more tests like this."
Hardline is set against the backdrop of "the war on crime and the battle between cops and criminals."
Dead Space studio Visceral Games is leading development of the upcoming shooter, with assistance from DICE.
Visceral VP Steve Papoutsis has said the studio is "adding new twists and turns to the foundation of Battlefield multiplayer".
