Supermarket chain Asda has announced its midnight opening plans for Call of Duty: Black Ops II tonight.
250 stores will sell the game from midnight tonight. In total 479 of its outlets will be carrying the game, as well as 114 of its local Supermarket stores “making it very accessible for local customer to grab a copy of the game”.
“We also have tonnes of in-store activities, free giveaways and a huge sampling programme to keep the crowds entertained tonight,” a spokesperson told MCV. “I believe Activision themselves will be filming in Asda Pudsey, where queues will be literally all through the store.”
Activision revealed on Friday that around 2,000 retail outlets are expected to open their doors to sell the game at midnight. 600 Tesco stores are included in this number as well as 450 Blockbuster stores and 319 GAME stores.
